Jessica Manning, MSW, LCSW, LCAS
Jessica is a clinical therapist who has been practicing in the Wilmington, NC area since 2005. She practices as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). Areas of expertise and special interest include addiction, anxiety disorders, depression, chronic pain, trauma, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from Berry College in Mount Berry, Georgia, in 2000, where she completed an internship at the Department of Family and Children’s Services and volunteered her time at domestic violence and youth shelters. In 2005, Jessica completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in graduate school, she completed an internship at a pre- and perinatal substance abuse outpatient treatment program, and at the Crisis Unit of the local police department. Since graduating from UNC-CH, Jessica has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including substance abuse treatment facilities as a lead counselor, as a behavioral consultant and developer of an integrated behavioral health program at a rural health primary care practice, and as the program director for an integrated dual diagnosis program.
Jessica provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse counseling in both individual and group formats, to adults and adolescents. Jessica joined Carolina Beach Counseling in October 2014 and she currently lives in Wilmington with her husband and two children.
