Corey Andolfi, MA, LMFT, NBCCH

Bio

With over 10 years of clinical experience, Corey is the owner of Carolina Beach Counseling, providing outpatient mental health treatment through individual and family therapy.

Well known for his specialization with children and youth, Corey is sought after for consultation by his colleagues nationwide. He uses innovative approaches paired with humor, to creatively address and resolve a variety of issues while partnering up with parents to maximize results. He has concentrations in family conflicts, parenting and behavioral diagnosis.

Another area of focus is trauma therapy for both adults and children. He has extensive post-graduate training in this field, and specialized skills in applying Clinical Hypnosis for quickly and painlessly reversing the negative effects of trauma. Corey is one of only a small handful of hypnosis providers in North Carolina. He is also trained in the process of Brainspotting that offers an alternative approach to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). In addition, he offers clinical hypnotherapy services, addressing obstacles such as smoking cessation, weight loss management, fears and phobias, self-esteem and stress management.

Corey is very active and spends his spare time playing in recreational soccer leagues and has coached local youth teams as well.

QUALIFICATIONS

Corey is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both North Carolina and Florida, and a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (NBCCH). He is also trained in Brainspotting, Quantum Flow movement therapy, and the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or referred to as Tapping). Corey graduated from La Salle University in Philadelphia with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling. He completed his internship at a premier mental health facility, Crozer Chester Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Currently working in private practice located in Wilmington, NC. Also serving clients virtually, throughout the states of North Carolina and Florida.

  • Volunteer Practitioner (current) - Institute for Survivors of Sexual Violence

  • Staff Therapist (3 yrs) - Operation Warrior Resolution (OWR), a nonprofit organization providing holistic therapies for veterans and their children.

  • Staff Therapist (4 yrs) - A Safe Place, a local nonprofit serving those affected by human and sex trafficking.

  • Case Worker (2 yrs) - various roles with at-risk families in both the juvenile justice and school systems.

  • Behavior Interventionist (4 yrs) - worked one-on-one with children and youth with developmental disabilities and autism, and their families
