Rapid Resolution Therapy

WHAT IS RAPID RESOLUTION THERAPY?

Rapid Resolution Therapy®️ (created by Dr. Jon Connelly) is an innovative, alternative approach to quickly and painlessly resolving mental health and life challenges. While it was originally designed to treat PTSD, survivors of sexual violence and similar types of trauma, it is very effective with a wide variety of emotional and mental health issues. These include anxiety, depression, anger, grief, insomnia, relapse prevention, phobias, compulsive habits, weight loss issues, pain management, etc. (see services tab for details).

Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT) looks and feels different from traditional forms of counselling, such as talk therapy or exposure therapy, which are often used for addressing trauma. RRT is described as a gentle, respectful process, that even utilizes humor. Unlike most approaches, RRT does not subject individuals to painful re-hashing of past trauma.

It is active, integrative and can even be fun. Through precise and purposeful communication techniques, RRT targets the deeper part of the mind to address the root of the issue or trauma, and eliminate the emotional charge associated with the particular memory or issue. The results are rapid and lasting change within a short timeframe.

Based on neuroscience, Rapid Resolution Therapy starts out with a discussion about how the mind works, taking a look at how we as humans process information about events in our lives. Using imagery and specific guided meditation techniques, most people find RRT to be non-threatening and report that they already feel different from moment they get up to leave. A typical first RRT intensive session typically runs longer, for about two-plus hours.
